Abstract

The study examined organizational performance from the perspective of mentoring in the workplace. Three objectives guided the research questions to determine the impact of knowledge sharing, coaching and on-the-job training on employee performance. Zachary’s four-phase mentoring model was used to guide the post-review study, which matched the phases of the work under study. A qualitative review was conducted and the results confirmed that the objectives, when used in the workplace, can improve performance with measurable indicators. Recommendations were consistent with the objectives while the study maintained continuous staff mentoring at all levels.
