Abstract

Cross-community migration is a model which encourages young human migration, with focus on integration and settling in new territories. This phenomenon is unique to humans and distinguishes us from other mammal. It involves a new community of adolescent and early adult immigrants who adopt new languages and customs; facilitating knowledge transfer, genetic exchange, and the creation of networks that connect communities through speech. A successful transition from one cultural boundary to another requires the immigrant to make choices to adapt and blend in, despite facing setbacks. This article discusses the barriers to cross-community or cross-cultural migration communication, as well as the breakthroughs. In conclusion, for successful integration to occur during cross-cultural immigration, internal and external values must align to expedite the integration process.
